Hello and welcome to The Alliance School's website. Thanks for visiting! For those of you who are new to Alliance, The Alliance School was the first school in the nation to start with a mission of reducing bullying. It was also the first to start a gay-friendly middle school. We currently serve students in grades 6-12 who live in the Milwaukee area. We are part of the Milwaukee Public School system, so we are open to anyone. If you are looking for a great school, come check us out.
The Alliance School is a small teacher-led school. We have seats for 175 students in grades 6-12, and we follow a year round schedule. The school uses a model of democratic governance, so that students and teachers are empowered to make the school the best place it can be.
For those of you who have been long time friends, thanks for all of your support over the years!
We are currently accepting applications for the 2012-2013 school year. If you are interested in learning more about enrollment or taking a tour of the school, please call Mari, our enrollment counselor, at (414) 267-5425.
On Saturday, January 14th, 2012, The Alliance School received the Fair Wisconsin Organization of the Year Award. We are honored to be recognized by this organization.

Your donation makes it possible for us to continue to do outreach to the community. June 3rd, 2011 The Sixth Annual Alliance School Commencement Ceremony
On June 3rd, The Alliance School celebrated its sixth annual commencement ceremony at the Sarah Scott Auditorium in Milwaukee. Twenty one candidates for graduation walked the stage, and 18 middle school graduates celebrated with them. The ceremony was a great success, capturing much of the Alliance School spirit by bringing in a DJ, student poets, and a comedian to make the ceremony as unique as the Alliance experience. Congratulations to the Class of 2010! We are so happy to be able to celebrate this moment with you!
October 11, 2010 - A message from The Alliance School
As people around the world celebrate Coming Out Day, it is hard not to think of all of the youth around the country who have lost their lives in recent weeks because of anti-gay bullying. Today, we remember all of those young people and look forward to a day when more schools will be friendly places for all youth and adults. We also thank our peers, teachers, friends and families for helping to make this place the haven that it is.
